Your Roar Helped WWF Save Sumatran Tigers

Way back in February, we asked to you to sign a petition to support the Sumatran Tigers with WWF, who’s habitat was being destroyed by the APP (Asian Pulp & Paper Company) to make toilet paper that was being sold in the United States. WWF were asking for the ‘Paseo’ paper to be removed from grocery stores across America, and guess what, together we succeeded!

Power to the people folks! I certainly signed up when I heard that up to 5 million acres of forest land that is home to the endangered Sumatran Tiger were being pulped to make toilet paper! Thanks to our support, Paseo is no longer being found on shelves across the U.S and has been discontinued. Just goes to show you that just a few seconds of your time really can make a major difference to the world we are living in.

With only 400 Sumatran Tigers left living in the wild, it was important that we all stood up and made our voice heard across the world that companies such as the APP must source their materials in a responsible manner. Pulping forest areas where endangered animals live is not only greedy, it’s just wrong. But thanks to all of us joining together and saying ‘No, this will not do’, companies like APP will have to think again before they tear down much needed forest areas without a second thought for the environment.
